Clipper 05-06: The Final Race Begins

After a brief sojourn in Holyhead, the fleet set off on their final race to Liverpool. A gentle southerly breeze gave the boats a flat sea and a down wind run as the Commodore of the Royal Dee Yacht Club fired the start gun. Qingdao crossed the line first, followed by Glasgow, Uniquely Singapore, New York, Cardiff, Durban, Jersey, Victoria, westernaustralia.com and Liverpool. Spinnakers were rapidly hoisted and the yachts raced off on the course towards Liverpool.
