STX signs up for new Brazil yard

Shipbuilder STX Europe has linked up with a South American partner to develop a new shipyard in Brazil to serve the growing oil and gas services market there. STX said it is to develop the new construction yard at Fortalez in Ceará state in Brazil with a local partner, PJMR, which will follow up on its Niteroi shipyard in Brazil which opened in 2001.
