MOL to develop super-slick antifouling paint

Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) are jointly embarking on a research and development project aimed at combating fouling on a ship’s hull. The drag of seawater over a vessel’s wetted surface accounts for 50 to 80 percent of all resistance including wind and wave resistance. More at Baird Maritime >>
